Electrical Assembler

About this job

• Assembles electrical components and subassemblies
• Performs basic verification and inspection activities 
• Pack completed products for shipment in accordance with drawings, bills of material, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures
• Review work orders, bills of material, drawings, wiring diagrams, labels, and assembly instructions before beginning work
• Identify, stage, and verify electrical components, hardware, enclosures, wire, terminals, connectors, and packaging materials.
• Assemble electrical components and subassemblies using approved hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and fastening methods.
• Cut, strip, terminate, route, label, and secure wire or cable when trained and authorized
• Perform visual and basic in-process checks for correct components, connections, polarity, labeling, workmanship, and completeness.
• Conduct approved continuity or other basic electrical checks when trained and authorized.
• Identify, segregate, and report damaged, missing, incorrectly assembled, or nonconforming materials and products.
• Clean, protect, label, wrap, box, and prepare finished assemblies using specified packaging methods and materials.
• Verify packaging contents, quantities, identification, accessories, documentation, and shipping labels before release.
• Complete required production, inspection, traceability, scrap, rework, and packing records.
• Maintain an organized workstation and follow ESD controls, PPE, tool-safety, lifting, and housekeeping requirements.

• Previous electrical assembly, wiring, electronics, manufacturing, general assembly, or packaging experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and read basic drawings, wiring diagrams, bills of material, labels, and part numbers.
• Basic proficiency with hand tools, measuring tools, wire-processing tools, and powered fastening tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, organization, and consistent workmanship.
• Ability to distinguish labels, wire markings, component identifiers, and assembly orientation accurately.
• Reliable attendance and ability to perform repetitive production and packing tasks safely.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
• Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic understanding of shop & measuring tools; electrical components
• Able to read and interpret detailed wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic shop tools.
• Good eye hand coordination and manual dexterity skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Must have stable work history
• Pass background and drug screen
